Zoomie Men’s Rugby is in Italy for their spring break Rugby Leadership Initiative (RLI). The RLI is designed not only to provide cultural immersion opportunities but also develop and strengthen military connections and the rugby brotherhood.
The team arrived arrived in Venice on Thursday (3/20). On Friday (3/21), the team toured Aviano Air Base. Saturday (3/22) included rugby practice and relaxation in preparation for Sunday’s (3/23) match and social with ASD Pedemontana Livenza Rugby. The Zoomies won 64-21.
Monday (3/24) is a cultural immersion day. Players can select a visit to Verona, Slovenia, or skiing the Dolomites. Tuesday (3/25) includes a trip to the US Army base in Vicenza. The next match is Friday (3/28) against Rugby Portoguaro ASD.
