1Day1USAFA is today! Please join the Air Force Academy Rugby Foundation (AFARF) in kicking-off its 2025 fundraising efforts. AFARF’s goal is to raise $125,000 for the Vern Francis Men’s Endowment and $65,000 for the Alan Osur Women’s Endowment; these amounts are roughly equal to the total amounts raised last year for each team with 1Day1USAFA representing about 40% of funds raised for the men and 60% of funds raised for the women.
Donating during 1Day1USAFA aligns with AFARF’s “Join the Ruck 2” 5-year campaign to achieve financial independence for each team to help create an on-ramp into the Athletic Department (AD). The AD can provide (1) the standard administrative latitude afforded varsity sports with respect to academic support and training exemptions; and (2) operational expertise needed to compete against the numerous, well-funded varsity rugby programs across the country.
